Rate levels
Lexchange can use a workspace default rate and more specific rates assigned to a member, client, or matter. The most specific applicable saved rate is used when work value is calculated.
| Control | What it does | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Workspace billing rate | Sets the default when no more specific rate applies. | Workspace Settings |
| Member rate | Sets a rate for one timekeeper. | Firm Overview |
| Client or matter rate | Overrides broader defaults for that account or matter. | Firm Overview |
| Lawyer rates | Sets each lawyer’s rate for a matter. Enter 0 for complimentary work or use the usual rate. New overrides start today; issued invoices retain their saved rates. | Client Details → Matter Details → Billing; invoice-management access |
